If you have two days your should visit Ngorongoro Crater which boasts highest density and variety of the wildlife in the country. The area is a unique closed ecosystem located inside huge caldera, literally packed with wildlife.
If you have more days, you should add a Safari to Serengeti National Park for a 3 or 4 day –think of Disney’s Lion King and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect from this park! In fact, Simba actually means lion in Swahili – you’ll hear this word often. It is also the home to the Great Wildebeest Migration – almost 2 million wildebeests and zebras following rain patterns each year..along with all the predators preying on them!

If you have more than a few days, you can certainly extend your stay in one of the Northern Tanzania parks, do some cultural adventures or Explore beautiful beaches of Zanzibar. However, if you’re feeling more adventurous you may try other, more remote circuits:

The Southern Tanzania Safaris circuit – Ruaha National Park, Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains National Parks and the Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park) – has been receiving increasing attention, although it still doesn’t see close to the number of tourist that the northern does. Most places tend to have more of a wilderness feel and the wildlife is just as impressive, although it’s often spread over larger areas.

For Western Tanzania safari you’ll find Mahale Mountains and Gombe Stream Parks, where the main attraction is the chimpanzees, and remote the Katavi National Park, with its large herds of wildlife. Rubondo Island National Park in Lake Victoria is of particular interest to bird-watchers. And then there is Saadani Game Reserve lets you mix beach and bush Experiences.
